I recommend this one, which I've recently looked over and tested myself, as of the current post date, it works perfectly with the current version of Newer Super Mario Bros. You will first need to get one of the NSMB Mod ISO Builders. The mod you would like to build an ISO of. In order to build an ISO of a New Super Mario Bros. If you've built an ISO of one of the mods and run into any issues in the game, please report it in this thread, and not to NewerTeam. It's important to note that this method for playing these mods is not supported by NewerTeam in any way, shape, or form. The main use for an ISO of these games would be to run them in Dolphin or on a Wii with a USB Loader instead of through Riivolution- which requires either a softmodded Wii or Wii U vWii and a disc of New Super Mario Bros. So you'd like to make an ISO of one of NewerTeam's delightfully well made and absolutely impressive Riivolution based mods? Well, where there's a will, there's a way! Thanks to the works of a few people including, but not limited to and myself, you can produce high quality functioning ISO's of all of the NewerTeam Wii mods, as well as a few other mods by others. Please note, the "private" folder is not required.2021: Dolphin added Riivolution Patch support, so this is not something you need to do anymore. The folders are "NewerSMBW" "riivolution" "apps" and "private". When completed, the SD card should have either 3 or 4 folders in it. It will take a few minutes to copy the files. Move these two folders onto the root of the SD card. One should be called "NewerSMBW" and the other "riivolution". As I said earlier, the download may take a few hours, so be patient. You should already have downloaded Newer Super Mario Bros Wii from the site. Unzip riivolution.zip and place the contents of the new "riivolution" folder into the "apps" folder on the SD card. On the SD card, create a new folder called "apps". Next, download Riivolution by clicking here. Once the Homebrew Channel has been installed and you have plugged your SD card back into your computer, you can delete the LetterBomb files and rename "private_old" back to "private".
A new channel should have appeared in the next empty space on the Menu, that channel should be the Homebrew Channel. When the Homebrew Channel has finished installing, select "Exit" and go back to the Wii Menu. On the next page, use the D-Pad and A to choose to install the Homebrew Channel. It may take a minute or two for the "Press 1 to continue" to show up, but be patient. After about 10 seconds, a page that looks similar to image 9 should show up. Scroll to the bottom of the message and click confirm. Scroll a few pages back until you see a red envelope with a bomb shape inside and an SD icon hovering over it.
Properly eject the SD card from your computer and place it into the SD slot in your Wii. Once the files have been copied to the SD card, you can delete the LetterBomb folder, it will not be used again in this tutorial. Remember, only copy the contentsĀ of the LetterBomb folder, not the actual folder itself. Now, take the contents of the LetterBomb folder and place them in the SD card. If there is, just rename the folder to "private_old". In the root of the SD card, there might be a folder called, "private". Now, you need to plug your SD card with at least 4GB into your computer.
